Weezer covering BoA?
American rock band Weezer is releasing the Japanese version of “The Red Album” this Wednesday. Like the other international versions planned for
release, one of the bonus tracks will be a cover of a local artist. It has now been revealed that the Japanese version will feature a cover of BoA’s ballad “Merikuri.”
Cuomo -the lead vocalist- said that he was instantly taken by the song [Meri-Kuri]. The song will -unfortunately- be present only on the Japanese version of the Album.
Also worth mentioning:
Recent polls & TV shows showed the huge impact that Meri Kuri had on the Japanese public. The song was voted as one of the most beautiful Winter Songs ever in Japan. It was featured on BoA’s Greatest Hits Album “Best of Soul”
